Paris is one of those places you just have to visit. Most people know it as the city of love and romance and guys wearing berets and a curly mustache. I see it as the stage for an incredible video game-inspired adventure.
I grew up playing a lot of video games. When I was in Paris, one video game in particular kept rushing to the fore of my thoughts: Assassin’s Creed. You may have heard of it. In the game, the character scales the tall, beautiful buildings and traverses the rooftop to get from point A to point B. As I walked through Paris, I couldn’t help but marvel at the city’s cobblestone streets and the intricate, ornate detail of its many gorgeous buildings.
It’s a beautiful city, but one whose majesty is juxtaposed against rampant public urination, homelessness, rude people, and streets filled with dog shit.
